Interview with Yug Patel (@yugp4tel)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
My name is Yug; I own a wedding cinematography + photography company. I also recently signed a deal with Netflix on a Documentary. My friend at the time, a birthday trip to Vegas, and my business partner went to Vegas for our birthday celebration. We had a night out plan, and suddenly, we ran into a few social media influencers; we ended up partying along with them just like their friends. The next day we all hung out together and ended our day off with dinner. The time comes, and our flight is at 9:00OPM on a Sunday night to back home (Vancouver, BC). We boarded, the plane took off BUT Didn’t land due to bad fog in Vancouver, so they took us back to Vegas. As we got back to Vegas, there was no flight back till Wednesday. We now had three more days to spend in Vegas. That is when My friend and I came up with the idea of creating a Netflix show of our crazy journey and bringing influencers and entrepreneurs together in one house to create what is now called our current pre-production stage show called “influencers.”
Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
I would say, please write up something with the story listed in the question above.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
I would recommend focusing and don’t give up. I know this may sound clique, but success isn’t easy. The word impossible shouldn’t exist in your path to success. Always remember PASSION NEVER FAILS.
None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
There isn’t anybody who helped me get to where I am today. This to those who feel like “No one has my back.” You have to define your path to success, and it is always good to have mentors and role models. I look up to Gary Vee & Grant Cardone.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I bring goodness to this world by encouraging people of all regions, religions, and races to recognize our shared humanity. I do this by encouraging individuals to incorporate more color in their lives to enhance their mood and incorporate essential oils in their daily routine. If you have that first sale or find yourself unemployed, I encourage you to volunteer for a cause, donate and decide to connect to the collective human spirit. We are generous creatures, so my success is your success, and your success is my success. This is why sharing our stories, using our success for good, and making art matters because it’s adding to our shared humanity and helping our evolution as a species. Ain’t nobody got time for scarcity or poverty.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“Don’t chase the success; let the success chase you.”
How can our readers follow you on social media?
