Interview with William Giroux
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Ever since I was a child, I have always known that photography, videography and arts in general was my thing and would be something that I would want to pursue professionally. I was a high school student when I first started making my own videos and films and that is when I just knew this would be something that I would love doing all my life.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Burn out is something very common in creative fields. It really shows when you are not passionate anymore as this is a field relying heavily on the creator’s passion and interest. I would advise everyone to take time off so that they can come back more motivated than before into their work.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
My friends and family have been the greatest contributors to my success. Whenever times have gotten hard, I have always had the utmost support of my family, especially my mom. This keeps me going to do what I love doing.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I try to show all the places that I have been to in the best light as possible. Some of the places that I have been to are one of the most beautiful in the world and yet so underrated. I hope to bring more attention to them and my experiences with them through my work by sharing it as much as I can.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“Create moments. See, 10 years from now, you’ll care about the moments where you truly felt alive. So grab a friend, go on an adventure. But most importantly, go tell a story worth telling. ‘Cause at the end of the day, these stories are all we have!” This is exactly what I did and has worked for me always. Special stories are all around us just waiting to be told.
