Interview With Wesley Goo (@wesleygoo)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I started off as a motivational / peak-performance speaker working for Tony Robbins. I traveled around the country speaking, training, coaching, etc. Left his company and eventually started my own doing the same thing. Now, I also advise and consult companies, public speakers, influencers, etc. I also coach on relationships..

Can you share the most interest in exciting happened to you since you started doing this?

I did a TEDx Talk in Vegas – years ago – called “Reinventing Yourself”. In addition, I’ve worked with CEOs, celebrities, public figures, business professionals, etc.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

Follow your heart but take your brain with you. 😉 In other words, always work to do what is in your heart. Not what you think sells. Just be smart about it. Have a strategic plan, put dates on a calendar, get others involved, test and measure, and readjust what isn’t working.

None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Tony Robbins was the chief influence on my life when I started back in 2004. However, before that music and film were my primary influences. Bands like The Beatles, U2, The Smiths, The Sundays, Lloyd Cole, etc. Filmmakers like Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino and Paul Thomas Anderson.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I began as a teacher of theology, music director in a church, etc. Now I speak, train, coach, consult, advise… globally. I’ve been to all 50 states, have people on my webinars from all over the world. Social media following is bigger on Facebook than Instagram but I’m building both.

Do you have a favourite “written Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

There are a sea of motivational quotes but that quote above really stays with me: “Follow your heart but take your brain with you.” In addition, I’m huge on LOVE. So the Beatles’ “All You Need is Love” and also the quote by Henry David Thoreau, “The only remedy for love is to love more.”

How can our readers follow you on social media?

Facebook is where most people recognize me from: (which I also need that verification for).

Anything specific you’d like to have mentioned in the article?

I have a bio if someone wants to read it and use part of it. Other than that, I’m an entrepreneur, a relationship-coach, micro blogger, traveler, artist (musician, actor, etc). I can provide more info if necessary.
