Interview with Victoria Vesce, Tik Tok (@victoriavesce)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
During the pandemic, I started Tik Tok to escape and have fun! I had time off from law school, which helped ease the boredom. Now I’ve graduated from Law School and work and live in Miami, where I model and influence as well! I’m a former NBA dancer for the Charlotte Hornets and Monster Energy Girl!
Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
Since I started influencing, I recently got picked to be a Sports Illustrated Swim Finalist! I shot In Dominican Republic with SI SWIM! Social media can open a lot of doors!
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
I did a podcast episode of burnout, but my main tip is to not put pressure on being perfect! Put out the content you like regardless of what you think “others” will like. The pressure is what ultimately leads to burnout. The more we have fun with social media, than pressured to post us when we have a good balance.
None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
My mom. Before she passed away, she always helped film my Tik toks and helped me with concepts. Since her passing, it’s been hard, but I’ve still been pushing!
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I’m trying to be more vulnerable on Tik Tok and showing my weakness with struggling with grief. It’s helped many people through the hundreds of messages I’ve received. I also started a podcast called Validated By Victoria, giving knowledge back about life and dating!
Do you have a favourite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“It doesn’t get easier; you just get stronger” my life has had some extreme downs from my brain tumour and my mom passing away, but each day I keep moving and get more robust than I ever thought. Not letting our circumstances define us is something huge I take every day. I’m pushing to do bigger and better every day, even when I feel down!
