Interview with Tyler Obrien (@tyobrienn)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I’ve loved music since I was a little child. I have been passionate about music since then and always knew I wanted to do something big in the music industry. I began performing at bars locally to kickstart my journey as an artist and I do not wish to stop any time soon.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Looking for recognition can get very hard in this digital climate where you will find thousands of artists online looking for the same thing. Sometimes you might think you won’t make it. But don’t let those thoughts stop you. You won’t know your true potential until you try.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
My friends and family have always been very supportive of me. I would even say that my friends were my first fans. I am so lucky to have them.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I want to make this world a better place through my music. I want people to be able to relate to my music and think “Oh someone gets me”. To me, that’s what goodness means.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“Being able to depend on someone doesn’t mean you’re dependent on them.” I think about this line a lot and I understand it on a level that I believe a lot of people don’t. I love this quote for what it depicts and how it explains human relationships.
How can our readers follow you on social media?
