Interview with Suzan Hajjar Najjar (@suzanhajjarnajjar)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

it all started when i was 6 years old, all the family used to sit down and gather around the radio listening to its program and songs with all ears open, i used to mimic the presenters and copying them in a funny way that made all the family laugh. it was magical that it lit up my passion and love for radio and t.v has grown limitless since then.

Can you share the most interest in exciting happened to you since you started doing this?

i used my program to successfully help a kid with a heart condition that needed an urgent surgery and his family didn’t had the resources to do it .. i managed to raise the issue nationally and contacted the best heart surgeon in the country and managed to collect enough donations to run the surgery at once, the overwhelming feeling of gratefulness and joy on the kid and his family were so heartwarming. it was one of the proudest moments of my career.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

always connect to people, if person have a story to be told, they are endless inspiration and passion fuel.

None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story? *

my husband, he is very supportive to my career, specially being a mom for 3 boys and balancing between work and home duties, without his understanding and selfless support i would have never make it this far.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world? *

i oriented my radio and t.v programs i present around people’s concerns to highlight their problems and be their heard voice and provide a positive perspective to their life.

Do you have a favourite “written Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Do not hate something that may be good for you
Through my personal, media and artistic life, I realized how true this saying is
Like many people, I went through difficult days, and I used to say to myself, why?? why me? And I grumbled and and… But in the end I realize that the following is greater and more beautiful, and for every delay there is a reason for that. You should always be optimistic and hope will accompany us along.
