Interview with Steve Wollett
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Life was a whirlwind. As a child, I was thrown into an environment where my creativity and abilities were tested, and from there it was only an uphill journey. I also learnt that I loved exploring my creative potential and dabbled in anything and everything I could get my hands on.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Be honest with your work. Working mainly as a director and producer right now, I know that it is my passion and my direction that will produce a good piece, and if I go into a piece half-heartedly, it will hurt people around me as well.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I owe all my success to my parents, children and late wife. They are and will always be my biggest supporters and the forces that keep me going, wanting to be a better person on every new day.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
In the creative world, I would like to believe my books, movies, or even television series have helped people destress, get inspired, or even feel happy whilst living a hectic life. As a creator, I wish for nothing more.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
One of my heroes, Christopher Nolan, said “You’re never going to learn something as profoundly as when it’s purely out of curiosity.”
I didn’t start anything in my life knowing I’d be good at it, rather thinking what if? What if I was good? Better than I think? I think its safe to say something good came out of my curiosity for exploring my creativity.
How can our readers follow you on social media?
