Interview with Stay Stopped @stay.stopped Clothing (Brand)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

My name is Jackson I am a US Army veteran. And a father to one daughter age 14… After 21 years of active addiction to crystal methamphetamine. It’s only by the grace of God that I have been clean and sober since May 8, 2015. As I reflect the past 7 years… I am full of gratitude. During this seven years, I was able to find and develop my purpose. Divinely Inspired – Divinely empowered – I believe that this has brought me find and develop a life of purpose to help others. I created the very first recovery clothing brand “StayStopped®”

Can you share the most interest in what exciting happened to you since you started doing this?

The most interesting story that has happened to me since I started my recovery apparel brand Is that I’ve finally was able to see value in helping others the reason I find this so interesting is because I never thought that My dark past can now be an asset in helping others who may be lost and disconnected we That dark side but as a person in recovery I can now bring encouraging Hope.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

A great tip that I would recommend to my colleagues in the industry to help them to thrive and not burn out is still to Continue to Develop and learn how to connect with others. But most importantly remember to keep recharging that positive energy every single day. Re-connect re-create re-charge daily.

None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful for who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

First and foremost I thank God for helping get me to where I am today. And to narrow it down to a particular person with gratitude I have met so many in my recovery journey have definitely helped me get to where I am today. And I am grateful to each and everyone of them.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

We are active in the community and our vision is to: Use our clothing as a tool to: Connect individuals with the community they serve. Embody the Spirit of Recovery from addictions of EVERY type. A clothing brand that brings Awareness encouragement Inspiration Outreach And Unity to those lost and disconnected, and support to families who have lost hope. A clothing brand that will NEVER judge but will Inspire the World to LIVE with humility.

Do you have a favorite “written Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

My favorite life lesson quote is with freedom comes responsibility. This is significantly relevant in my life today because once upon a time I thought freedom meant I can do whatever that I wanted to do. Today freedom means taken responsibility for my relationship with God and others because I believe that is why we are here. The life lesson of freedom and responsibly to help others is definitely relative to my life today.

How can our readers follow you on social media?

My primary platform on social media is Instagram. And LinkedIn.

Anything specific you’d like to have mentioned in the article?

One other specific thing I would like to mention is that there is a lot of stigma attached to addiction but there’s also a stigma that is attached to Recovery as well and that stigma is that when in recovery everything gets better. The fact is in recovery we are learning. Learning how to handle sobriety we learn how to handle emotional challenges we become OK with not being OK at times and we learned that those not OK times are very short-lived. No expectations. We are with you all the way.
