Interview with Sool (@soosieaudo)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Hip-hop and rap is my world. I grew up listening to it, and I also loved singing it. I learned how to compose music with time, and everyone around me pushed me to pursue this professionally. I did, and I gained so many followers which completely changed my life forever. This music industry is so hard to struggle in, yet here I am and sometimes I can’t even believe it myself!

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Keep going even if the fuel runs out! I have been in this industry since 2007, and still waking up every day to hear about a new artist in town! It’s that difficult to get recognized and stay in the spotlight for long, but I believe if you have original and innovative work, then your loyal fanbase will steadily increase. It’s always better to have fans that personally have seen you grow and want better songs with each release. My fans motivate me to do my best with every release, thus my advice is to be true to yourself and let the most positive supporters stick by your side. They are the ones who truly love your work.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My family is the best; whenever you call them, they are always there to answer. Any challenges and hardships I have faced, my family is right there behind me to stop me from falling. I also have amazing friends, and fans. I would never be here, if it weren’t for them.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

My music is intended to bring happiness and make people dance and forget all their worries. Nothing is better than to pick the right song that calms you down, and wants you to get up and make your mood better!

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“Just got to smile through it all.”

Life is very unpredictable and can change a person’s perspective in a day about everything. I believe life will always go on whether we are sad, happy or going through something horrible. The best way through is smiling and not giving up. This sounds like an advice that one hears all the time, but it’s so true! There has not been one day I tried to smile and it didn’t work. My music always brings me smiles and joys, and I love that. I want people to be in the best mood and enjoy their lives, even during the worse times. Thus, this quote is quite dear to my heart, and the secret recipe to my music.
