Interview with Sequoia Blodgett
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Thank you for having me. I have always had an adventurous spirit inside of me, and after having fun in the entertainment industry and working as a director and producer, I wanted to try my hand at something more challenging. With the rise of technological integration within the music industry, my jump towards it just seemed the natural next step up the ladder.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
Stay strong and persevere. This industry is not for the faint of heart. You get roadblocks – plenty of them – and if you can’t trust yourself and grit your teeth through the worst of them, then you’ll be eaten alive.
None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I am grateful to my parents and friends; without whom, I really would not have been here.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I think my contributions have helped enlighten entrepreneurs regarding how to stay relevant in the digital revolution.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“Short cuts make long delays.” You cannot, no matter how hard you try, hasten things by taken shortcuts. It will only exacerbate your problems down the line and, if by every metric, a very bad and inefficient move.
How can our readers follow you on social media?
I’m glad you asked. I frequently post on my Instagram and go by the handle @sequoiablodgett
