Interview with Sam Bull (@samm_bull__)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

After a career working in A&E, I identified that there wasn’t any service provision to move Patients detained or liable for detention under the Mental Health act. The NHS ambulance service and/or police service would not move patients so created a service called Secure Care UK Limited in 2013 which was one of only a few companies in the UK that delivered this service.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

After building the business to a National company with operational bases across most main cities in the country with over 140 staff and winning awards for service delivery and quality I sold the business in 2017 to a venture capitalist firm, leading me to retire at 29 years old.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

When you feel like giving up, keep going! it’s when you feel like you can’t carry on when you grow and develop the most!

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I need to thank all my staff between 2013 and 2017 because without them, their hard work, and dedication the company would not have grown to the highest of success it achieved.

I would also like to thank Clive Brent, my mentor, and coach who supported me both professionally and personally to achieve my goals. and supported me to grow the business.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Since creating and Selling secure care UK I have made multiple donations to various charities including Dom’s food mission to support the homeless and families in need and the Bexhill boxing club to support young children to develop in the sport, keep them out of trouble, and focused.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Don’t Monitor Wealth in monetary Value, monitor it in time. Time is the most precious commodity in life. True wealth is freedom.
