Interview with Ryan Williams (@ryanwill15)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I always loved aviation and thought it would be a GREAT idea to change my career path.
Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
The most exciting story was having all the passengers on one plane come off the plane and sing me happy birthday in front of the whole airport during rush hour.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
I would say take your time, breath, pray, always have a plan B just if plan A doesn’t work, and always have an open ear to listen to upset passengers.
None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a person you are grateful for who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I would say Warren Sapp (My God Brother). When I was not so good in school, he would not let me get any tickets to any BUCS games for a month, and my travel to always games was cut off. So in his words, he would tell me, “A hard head makes a soft ass and my little brother isn’t gone be a failure.”
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
Just spreading love and happiness can bring, if possible, especially with all that has gone on, especially during the pandemic. Many lives were lost, and families were divided, so love is the only thing I try to spread around.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“What I Miss” is my favorite quote because when I would do wrong in school or miss an important meeting, I would come to school or come into the meeting saying, “What I Miss” lol now I use that saying for everything?
