Interview with Rashid Bahattab
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Growing up in a city full of beautiful art, architecture and filled to the brim with history, I grew to appreciate these things and find joy from it. Knowing I could impart the same kind of appreciation for the beauty God has put on this earth through Art is the sole reason I found myself walking on this path.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Do things because you love them and want to learn from them as much as you can, not for material reasons. The heart you put into your art is ultimately going to make other people perceive the world the same way you do.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Obviously, other than my family, friends and supporters, I owe every single bit of my success to God.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I think appreciation for the arts is already a beautiful and positive thing. I simply do my part in sharing what I find beautiful and uplifting with other people.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).”
I think everything that happens in life, be it success or failure, happens with the will of God and there is betterment in everything. Keeping the faith that what Allah has decided for me will happen, I know to only look up and power through in life.
How can our readers follow you on social media?
They can follow me on Instagram (@rashid.bahattab) which is my primary social media. I share bits of my life including my travels, art and music over there.
