Interview with NobleKing (@thenobleking99)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
As a child, I was bullied a lot and never accepted for being gay or just being myself in general. Once I realised how much the internet could bring communities together, I decided to post many LGTBQ comedies and pride. Feeling all the love from the community is something I would love to be able to do full time. #PRIDE
Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
The most exciting thing that’s happened to me since I became an online influencer was getting exposed at work. Someone was very homophobic and decided to screenshot my TikTok and send it to everyone at work, but it never stopped me from doing what I love.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
Always post what you want to post. Not what you think people are going to like. Please don’t make it all about likes and followers; actually enjoy it and have fun!
None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
One person I am very grateful for is my mother! She supported me through my coming out process and never stopped loving and believing me along the way. She has always been a role model, consistently working to put food on the table for my sisters and me. I was a single mom; she did everything she could to give us everyday lives!
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I’ve always fought for what I believe in. I feel like promoting the LGTBQ+ community and showing it’s ok to be proud of who you are is the best thing someone can do in my shoes. Letting people know not to let hate or judgment force you to hide who you are. Be you and love yourself!
Do you have a favourite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
There’s a life lesson quote I use daily. “ the glass is half full, not half empty.” Having a positive attitude and outlook on life keeps me going. I feel like it could keep anyone going. If you view your glass as half complete, you are already winning at life!
