Interview with Ngozi Ibe (@im.ngoziibeofficial)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I always knew that music was my calling. There’s something about Gospel music that drawn your soul and caresses it into tranquillity. From a very young age, I knew I was meant to sing my heart out in the glory of God.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
It is important to recognize your talents and then work on nourishing them and then perfecting them. You need to respect your skills set and value it and only then you can accomplish something out of it.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I think for me the most important connection is with God. He’s the one I turn to because I know he can fix everything and he knows better than anyone. He’s provided me with a profound talent and I am fulfilling my responsibility by honing this talent.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
My music aims to evoke a sense of spirituality within people. I feel like in this chaotic world everyone could use some peace and that is what I try to provide my listeners. Everyone deserves to feel calm at heart.
Do you have a favourite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
Charles F. Glassman once beautifully said, “When you trust your inner guidance and begin moving in the direction of your dreams (aligned with your individual gifts) you will be cloaked in an armour bestowed upon you by your guardian angel.”
