Interview with Mo Max Pro (@mo_maxprohair)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I grew up with five sisters, so I always saw significant demand for hair products. Once I got older, I wanted to develop a business, so I started searching for products to sell. Soon I found out that the right match would be hair products. I started the business in 2013, and now almost nine years later, we are heading to be available in more than 100 countries! We offer a wide range of hairstyling tools and hair care products and still developing much more.

Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Definitely! Just a few weeks ago, we started our business in Dubai. Currently, we are only available in 22 countries, but we also signed a contract in Dubai to develop to 100 countries within the upcoming two years! Also, Snapchat ‘verified’ me not that long ago since I am also educating many other entrepreneurs, mainly in The Netherlands, through my Instagram and Snapchat. I am also known as the ‘Dutch Grant Cardone’ since I have the same drive and vision for the business.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

Don’t make it difficult for yourself! Things are easy, and it’s the people who make it difficult. So start by looking at things from a perspective than the people in your circle.

None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person whom you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Yes, of course, business isn’t complicated, and many people are already at that stage that you want to achieve. So I start looking at the series ‘The Profit’ by Marcus Lemonis. He gave me so many insights on how to develop a business in a way that is so easy to understand. So I look up to him.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I’m pretty humble, so I would not say ‘Yes’ since I always think we can do much more! But I try to help out other people regularly. If it’s not through a donation, I physically help them understand things better and achieve ’that’ what they want!

Do you have a favourite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

It sounds like many other people, but ‘Never Give Up!’

This is the objective reality, and if you give up quickly, you will never achieve. Winners don’t give up!

As for the story, I encounter this on a daily base. If I would entirely follow up with my B2B customers, they would never do business with us. So I am always living my life like I have nothing!
