Interview with Megs Austin (@megsaustin)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Entrepreneur Model Influencer and my boyfriend, a professional athlete, encourages me to choose this path.
Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
I am a successful entrepreneur from Scotland self-made who started with nothing. My partner is a professional athlete too. I hope to inspire people, especially other women.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
Going to sleep early, looking after your mental and physical health. Spending less time on social media than usual and trying to look at life like the glass is half full even when you feel like your glass is empty.
None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
My mum. She always kept me positive, even when I felt like giving up. I owe her the world; her positive outlook on life and can-do attitude is hugely inspiring to me—also, my partner plays professional football after coming from a deprived background. We always chase our goals.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
Spreading positivity on and off social media, I try to give the best advice possible to others to keep them buoyant in times of darkness. I use my social media to inspire others.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
If you are the hardest working in the room, you need to switch rooms. You can always learn something from someone. It would help if you always surrounded yourself with positive, hard-working people who can know from and inspire. If you’re the hardest working and most innovative in the room, there’s nothing more to learn.
How can our readers follow you on social media?
My Instagram handle is @megsaustin, and I hope to inspire everyone, especially young females, as I was once a young female who was pretty lost in the world. I’m 26 years old, and I hope to share my experiences and positivity.
Anything specific you’d like to have mentioned in the article?
A self-made entrepreneur from Glasgow originally, I started my business with just £100, and it’s growing all the time. If I can do it, anyone can do it; it’s all about intelligent investments saving your money, and working hard.
I’m now able to give my mother a better life, who was once a struggling single parent to myself.
Although my boyfriend played football professionally, when we both met, we both had nothing, and we have worked hard together to achieve our goals.
