Interview with Medasa Official (@medusajofficial)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I have always been a big fan of American hip-hop artists such as Lil Durk, Lil Baby, A Boogie Wit Da Hoody, Future. And a few other artists, but I noticed that the UK doesn’t really have any hip-hop artists similar to those artists. I have a lot of stories to tell so I started making music and a lot of people enjoyed it so I kept ongoing.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
I got a chance to talk about the lifestyle that I have lived in the past and people seemed interested in my personal life as I got out of a 2/3 year relationship with a girl that was a multi-millionaire and ended up cheating on me after all that time. I called myself Medusa J because the Medusa is known for having snakes for hair and it made me think of myself in the sense that no matter where I am in the world I am always going to be surrounded by snakey people, and of course, my real name is Jonathon Jerrett so that’s where the J comes from in Medusa J
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Do a single then a video to that single instead of releasing songs and after songs without any video to accompany it
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Yes there is a local artist who now happens to be a close friend that goes by the stage name of REU6IX, he is an engineer that also makes music and allowed me to perfect the sound and style I was going for whilst recording music
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I have shared my stories of being at my lowest and making bad decisions and letting people know that I relate and understand their struggles and these are what I’d like to call moments that always pass and things always get better so there’s no need to give up
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
A man will lose himself trying to make an ungrateful woman happy

Anything specific you’d like to have mentioned in the article?
That I have 2 sides to me, Medusa J (Dusa) which is the normal/good version of me, and the Ducifer side of me which is considered the bad which is a name given by mixing Ducifer with Dusa.
