Interview with Mark E. Sackett (@theboxsf)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Usually, when we meet people, we categorize them into two main categories, who we need and we don’t need. We rarely interact with strangers. The main aim of The Box SF is to provide space for people to hold various events to interact and learn from each other.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive?
I think the key to a successful business lies in three things. Firstly, you need top-class marketing and branding for your business. Next, you need to have innovatie, out-of-the-box ideas. Lastly, and most importantly, you need ethical business skills.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I get inspiration from all around me. I love nothing more than sitting with people, learning and sharing ideas with them. It’s always fun constantly learning new things, looking at new images, tasting new flavors, hearing new sounds, and living through new experiences.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I’m a huge believer in giving back to the community. We hold a number of charity events through The Box SF. In addition, I serve as an advisory board member for a number of non-profit institutions to help guide them through various tasks. Recently, I’ve also launched 24×24.org, which is a unique new way people can donate to charity.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
My belief is strongly reflected in the following quote: “The key is to be like a Duck, smooth and unruffled on the surface but paddling furiously underneath!”
