Interview with Mamadou Ndiaye
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I grew up surrounded by music. It’s always been a big part of my life, you could say that music runs through my veins. There hasn’t been a point in my life when I was unsure about my talent. I always knew that my future lied in the music industry.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
You need to give it time, you can’t find success overnight. You just need to focus on putting in the hours at the studio, the rest is up to fate. Stay true to your art, don’t try to turn your passion into a money making machine. Do it because you love it.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
My friends and family have been my biggest supporters ever since day one. I couldn’t name a particular person even if I wanted.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I like to use my music as a tool to enlighten and inform. If you look past the trap beats there’s some deep messages hidden in my lyrics. I use my talent to uplift the people around me.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
I truly believe in “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. That’s something that has stuck with me since as long as I can remember. Life can’t always be perfect, you just gotta learn how to make the best of your situation.
