Interview with Lynn Wesley Coleman
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I always wanted to be a writer. Writing for Eater NOLA was one of my favorite works. I also enjoyed interviewing restaurants when I had my youtube channel Lynn In the Kitchen.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
Being an honoree for the Shuck Cancer and also working with the Pelicans in campaigns. I was also featured in Black Southern Bell Magazine.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Practice Self Care and say NO when you can’t make an event.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I am grateful for my family. My dad made so many sacrifices to make sure I was always taken care of and became the woman that I am today.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
Philanthropy – raising money towards cancer with Shuck Cancer and Hogs for Cause and Krewe of Red Beans ambassador.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
You can’t do epic things on an empty stomach.
