Interview with Lawlor Technologies
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
After finishing my degree in Computer Science, I decided to start a company that would allow people all over the world to avail my services and knowledge as an app and web developer. My aim is to revolutionize the world of app development by centering what the customer wants.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
In the world of tech, it is important to keep on innovating and keeping up with the latest technological updates in order to keep thriving. One can avoid burnout by having a team they can rely on which makes it easy to delegate work so everyone can work according to their own strengths.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I am grateful for the help and guidance of all my mentors in university. As well as the support of my team which means I can rely on them.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I developed an add on feature for Amazon’s Alexa which provides a step by step guide for CPR during emergencies. The add on has been installed by over 90,000 people and has the potential to save lives. Our aim is to develop more of such lifesaving and important apps and features.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“You just can’t let life happen to you; you have to make life happen.”
It is important to pursue your dreams and work for the life you want to live. I also believe it is important to make sure your work adds something positive to the world and makes people happy.
