Interview with Kevin Sucher (@kevinsucher)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I have been writing songs and performing since I was 12 years old. Music has always been my life.

Can you share the most interest in exciting happened to you since you started doing this?

I was an Artist/Writer/Producer my whole life and my first 2 Grammy nominations came in 2009. I owned a recording studio and had been making a lot of records – but it was when I reconnected with Eric Benet – who I was in a band with when I was 19 years old – that the Grammy nominations came. I continued to reinvent myself through my career.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

The most important aspect of my success was to learn all aspects of the business of Music and find unique ways to reinvent yourself. I was an artist, writer, producer, mixer, front of house engineer, production manager, tour manager, and artist manager. I have made it full circle now with my own headlining show in Las Vegas as an artist again.

None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I am grateful to the Legendary artist Tony Orlando. I am blessed to call him my dearest friend – I am also blessed for what he saw in me to open the doors to me becoming a Las Vegas entertainer and helping me fulfill my dream.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I am a firm believer that my knowledge and experience in the studio or touring should be shared with all who want to learn. I will happily share my insights. I also support a number of non profit organizations. Both financially and by serving on their board of directors.

Do you have a favorite “written Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Never. Ever. Give. Up.

How can our readers follow you on social media?

Facebook, IG, Twitter and on my bands youtube page – The Docksiders.

Anything specific you’d like to have mentioned in the article?

I am the founder of America’s Favorite Yacht Rock Band™ – The Docksiders – now headlining in Las Vegas.
