Interview with Karim El-Mir (@vonkhazen)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I have always been a dreamer, and am exceptional with words and their meaning. I believe it was the ability to feel and perceive different emotions in their entirety that motivated me into writing and turned me into an author.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
I believe that people should live life with simplicity. Keeping things simple and nice is what has kept me going. I find happiness in the smallest of things, be it a bottle of orange juice!
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I was very much inspired by my late uncle Khazen, who was the epitome of simplicity and sophistication. He had a strong character and was very kind, forgiving, upfront, and considerate. Though he is not present in the world today, his memory enlightens my thoughts even today.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I am very socially active. Two of my books have been released so far, which are ‘Journal of Wise Statements’ and ‘Hoping for a Better World’. Through these books, I try to help people understand themselves and the world around them. From my books, people can find wise words they can live by, which may inspire them.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
I believe that the idea of freedom varies from one individual to another. The definition and sense of freedom might be different for everyone. For me, the ability to write and be vocal about how I feel, makes me feel as free as a bird.
How can our readers follow you on social media?
Readers can look me up on Instagram as @vonkhazen. My books are also available on Amazon and can be bought with just a click of a button.
