Interview with Jose Morales

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

My love for boxing goes way back, being an athlete turned coach and seeing the happiness on peoples faces when they got a technique, footwork, or any new move, in general, is really gratifying and what has helped me continue on in the field and being a coach.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Be thorough in your work and sincere in your intentions. Rather than keeping your successes in mind, focus on the success of people who want to learn from you and be driven by their happiness and satisfaction.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Too many people to note. My wife and kids, who have been my rocks through thick, thin, rain or shine. The members of the academy, my coaches, and my friends.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I have been blessed with a platform where I regularly tell people how important maintaining their health is and how necessary it is to be able to defend yourself and stay in your best shape. Being able to reinforce my words with the training I can provide is the biggest plus.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Boxing legend and my icon Muhammad Ali said “don’t count the days, make the days count.” This saying of his always stuck with me because not only do I look up to him as a role model, but he is also living proof that nothing can stop you once you put your mind to things.

How can our readers follow you on social media?

I have an Instagram (@el_rey_de_sacra) and a YouTube channel under my name where I do my podcasts! Follow, subscribe, any form of support counts and greatly helps!
