Interview with Jana Short

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

After eight weeks in the hospital with a fatal disease and no hope for a future, I was sent home with no expectation of recovery. It was scary thinking that I would never get to see my family again. My grandchildren would have no memory of me. That was my breaking point. That was when I decided to get back up on my feet and fight the disease. I was introduced to a form of holistic treatment, but I was skeptical of it. But after trying it out myself I started believing in its power. After much research and gathering knowledge about it I found out that there was not much about it online. That is when Best Holistic Life was born. This is an effort to spread more knowledge about this treatment and enlighten people of its benefits. I wish for my audience to be in their best health, and this is the best was for them to know more about this treatment.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

For me, family is everything. They are the reason I’ve made it this far, where I am today.  The more time I spend with them, the more joy I have in my life. Apart from that, spending time with myself and focusing on myself is the best way to cool off. Just devoting few minutes of your day on yourself relaxing and unwinding can do wonders and you will be able notice it yourself. A few moments of gratitude and self-reflection can have a huge impact. It is easy to lose sight of what is important, that is, your health. It is important to have healthy limits and not to overwork yourself.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there is a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Once again, my family. My strongest support. I had a stroke a couple of years ago and it affected my speech and language processing. Its takes hard work for me to be able to speak on camera but my family has always been so supportive and encouraging. I find it hard to be able to keep up with new and fancy technology and gadgets. I hate to admit, but my age is also a hurdle because starting a business, going back to school and starting from scratch is a lot more intimidating as it sounds. But I have always received the utmost encouragement and love from my family, and it keeps me motivated and going.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Success to me isn’t a big endgame finale thing. Success is an everyday thing. For me it’s the little things that happen every day. This is what I keep telling my audience and this is how I have brought goodness to the world. By helping people and making them appreciate the little things in life. Helping them with different issues like anxiety and feeling worthless.  My vast expertise in mindset coaching allows me to provide viable and permanent solutions to common issues.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“THERE IS NO ONE GIANT STEP THAT DOES IT.

IT’S A LOT OF LITTLE STEPS.”

I have faced a lot of hurdles all through my journey. It was understandable enough for me to give up, but I kept going and I kept fighting because I knew that one day it was all going to be worth it. And I was right. Nothing is achieved without hard work and time. It is annoying at times. You feel like giving up. My struggle with health, age, technology all of these things proved to be very bothersome, but I overcame all of those problems and some I’m still fighting because I know one day I’m going to look back and it and be proud for not giving up.
