Interview with Jacques (@blulethalgolfer)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
My grandfather was a golfer that played in college, and he taught me some of the fundamentals of the game.
Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
I remember working at grand over golf club & resort for my internship with the PGA one summer. I remember teaching some of the young jr league golfers how to put and chip. Some of the kids also were getting to do the drive chip in putt competition.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
I would say take one step at a time to understand the learning process and won’t try yourself out.
None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Allen Wilson is like a grandfather to me and in the black African Hall of fame at Morgan State College for golf. He helped me get into the school of golf at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
Donate money to churches and help out the homeless shelter.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang it on.
