Interview with J-Rock (@abm_jrock)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I have always been interested in music and even as a child, I just knew that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life and when I started making my own music, I just knew I would do it forever now.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
I would always advise them to take the time off. I took time off my work in 2019 and 2020 due to a difficult time in my life and I came back after the break better and more able to work.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I would always be grateful to my friends and family. I definitely would not be here without them. I will also always be grateful to my fans and supporters who always support me no matter what.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I have always wanted to make a difference in the world, that is my primary goal. I do my best to talk to kids in my city about their issues, what they want to do in life and bullies. I also do a lot of community work such as working for the homeless. Doing good has always been my main goal.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“It gets greater later, stormy weather doesn’t always last”. This quote gives me hope and reminds me that after dark times, there are always brighter and happier days ahead.
