Interview with Irwin Miller

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Ever since I could remember, I always wanted to work in creative spaces. I saw that opportunity in the field of design and went after it. I became interested in architecture and interior design and used my skills in those areas.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Every project I worked with had been interesting. Creating a huge building like the confidential headquarters was really interesting to work for me because I had worked on it for 8+ years following every detail in the building.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

When you decide what you want to do in life, stick to it no matter what. When you chase after what you actually really believe can happen for you, you will achieve it no matter what if you really work for it.

None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My family has always been my rock. My wife Heidi and my sons have really motivated me to do my best.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I try to do as well as I can because I believe that giving back never gets one down. Rather it helps us grow as good people.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Winston S. Churchhill once said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.”
