Interview with Iman (@allinkid13)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I always had a passion for being a researcher, scholar, and above all, a professor, giving back.
Can you share the most interest in what exciting happened to you since you started doing this?
Being an educator and researcher for over 12 years, the highlight of my career has been winning the instructor of the year three different years with three different schools. I have also been honoured to be named among the 40 under 40 and win the Leadership Impact award in Southern CA in 2019 and 2021.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
Passion and persistence. A steadfast passion and a vision for improvement, paired with a relentless attitude and work ethic, are the recipe for success in any field. Burnout usually happens when what we do seems insignificant.
None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a person you are grateful for who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I want to thank my parents for instilling in me the values of hard work and service. In addition, my brother Shayan and my wife Inet have always been there along the way, supporting me at every juncture.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I have been blessed to serve as a child ambassador for World Vision and served on three different boards as an advisor.
Do you have a favourite rite, “written Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
Success is the sum; of hard work, Passion, vigilance, dedication, Passion, and timing combined into small successes. A string of small successes in a row yields big results.
