Interview with Henry Porter (@henryporterpolo)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I have been very passionate about sports since the age of 5. Despite studying business, I sought my career which I used to love to do since my childhood.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
There is nothing without determination and will-power. If you dream of something and want to do the thing which you love the most then go for it. Just be focused and determined. One day you will achieve what you want.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I’m always thankful to everyone. But behind my success, I would credit my success to Martin Valent. He taught me the first-ever polo lesson since then I have been doing my best.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
Being an ambassador of U.S. Polo Assn. I will shine the spotlight on the dynamic young polo players. It will be one of the greatest good of my success to the world. As I will assist them in pursuing their passion for Polo.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“If you can’t outplay them, outwork them.”- Ben Hogan.
This quote is a source of encouragement.
There are sometimes when we face failure, but that is not the end. We have to work on finding other ways to get success in life. As it is not possible to wins all the matches, but I have never been disappointed in my life. But I back with greater energy and motivation.
