Interview with Henry Aaron Westbrooks
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I always had an interest in building brands which is what pushed me to go for a degree in communication. From there on out, I wanted to learn as much as I could and stepped into various fields and eventually becoming a CEO myself! I’ve been told that from a young age that I was a very curious child and wanted to get to the bottom of everything, and I think my inquisitive nature is also to thank for my coming onto this career path.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Honestly, hard work and patience will take you far. Being impatient and wanting instant success in any industry isn’t realistic or achievable, and I think being demotivated from something that isn’t in your control can be a shortfall, because success that doesn’t come through the avenues of hard work and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears doesn’t really gratify you as much.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Aside from the people I have learnt and grown with, I have a lot to thank my partner for. Not only is she my rock and my constant supporter, she listens to me and comforts me when everything else seems bleak. She always encourages me instead of holding me back, and it’s the push from the people around me that has helped me achieve this success.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I have a podcast where I discuss positivity, health, love, and even success stories sometimes alone and other times with guests. Alongside that, I wrote a short book called “New You Now” that is available on Amazon in which I shared insight and tips about things I have learnt being in the industry for so long that can hopefully help other hopefuls out.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“The more you learn, the more you earn.” This quote has always forced me to think the other way and about how the most important currency is knowledge. It’s something that, no matter how much you have, it will never be bad for you and will always open up your mind to new things to help you achieve new heights.
How can our readers follow you on social media?
