Interview with Gabriella London
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Gabriela Rumenova Kirova ( gabriella.london) is an entrepreneur and investor. You can see from her instagram profile that she is interested in politics and she was a main figure in the campaign of the new Bulgarian prime minister Kiril Petkov. Gabriela Rumenova Kirova is originally from Bulgaria but she lives in London.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
I was in Mykonos and the next day I left but I posted a picture of myself there and a group of friends (I didn’t know that they just arrived in Mykonos as well) decided to do a surprise party for me as it was my Birthday a day after. They organised an amazing party and invited many people and I couldn’t show up as I left already far away. Never post old pics:)
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?.
You need to engage the audience! Your life should be for the people, who follow you. It is like they are reading the most interesting book and they cannot wait for the next chapter and the next day of your life.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I believe that the thing that helped me the most in my life is confidence in myself. The moment you lose confidence you are losing the ability to achieve! But once, in a very hard period of my life, I felt so down and I cried in front of my best friend: “I have nothing” I said and she told me something that helped me to stand up again: “ You have the most important thing – yourself, who is unique and can do anything, just bring it back and you will be ok. Many people don’t have this.” In a couple of weeks, I did so, I brought back myself and I was even better in the future.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
She does a lot of charity work and one of the biggest charities that she was involved in was at the Vatican together with the Pope.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“Lead with your heart, your life will follow.”
I can give many examples that every time I go by calculations what is better I always end up making the wrong decision and always when a choice looks worse or riskier according to everyone but it is taken by listening to my intuition and my heart it ends up always the right choice. I will give the simplest example. I was buying a flat a few years ago and I had the choice between a bigger flat(obviously looking for a much better deal) and a smaller one, which was the one my heart wanted. For the first time, I decided to listen to the advisors and what looked better on paper. A year later the area where was the flat I liked started to develop amazingly and the prices there went even more up. I couldn’t stand the flat that I bought not following my heart and I ended up selling it to buy where I wanted in the first place. I ended up losing the stamp duty, plus in the area, I bought the bigger flat the prices went down and in the area, my heart wanted the prices went up so I lost much more at the end just because I followed what is better according to the mind and not according to the heart!
