Interview with Gabe (@gaberielhill)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I’ve always been interested in aircraft and aviation in general, I’ve ended up becoming an aircraft technician while also keeping my photography and gaming hobbies.

Can you share the most interest in exciting happened to you since you started doing this?

I would probably say in general where I’ve come from. I was working dead end 9-5 jobs from working at a gas station to washing cars at a car wash, I wanted more than that. I decided to enlist in the United States Air Force and got contracted into working on aircraft, best decision I’ve ever made. Everyday is something interesting, sure it’s a different lifestyle but all of the people I’ve met throughout knowing they have my back, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

Honestly it happens to the best of us, my advice would be to remember the long term goal you’re trying to achieve. Always keep that in mind and remember the little things will add up to the bigger picture.

None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I’m grateful for my friends back home. Back when I was struggling financially, I didn’t have a place to go and they supported me through that, helped me get a job and a place to stay while supporting my mental health. Without them I definitely wouldn’t be in the position I am right now.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I’ve always believed in giving back whenever you can as an individual that has exceeded to the extent where you can give back, that’s something I live by.

Do you have a favorite “written Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
