Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I started in the music industry writing songs for some local artists when I was 15 years old in Tijuana, Mexico. One day I heard one of my songs in a concert and thought about making music for myself. At the same time, my ex broke up with me, which inspired me a lot; I wrote my first single, #FORRADO and uploaded it about a year ago. I decided that my artist name would be my last name, FREGOSO.
Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
I uploaded my single #FORRADO a while ago now, and one time, I finally convinced my crush to go on a date with me. So, we talked about our passions, and I started talking about music. At that moment, my song started playing at the coffee shop, and one of the employees recognized me and asked me for a picture. My crush couldn’t believe it, and I felt so excited about it, that moment, I started writing my new album, “Adicciones,” which will be uploaded in June/July… Just because I love how it feels to be recognized by other people.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
Never compare yourself to anyone else when trying to set up your goals. Everyone has a different path… Don’t overwhelm yourself, and enjoy the road.
None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person whom you are grateful for who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I mean, I’m currently a local artist, but, to be honest, the people close to me, my friends and family, always help me out, and Jazzy A, my producer, he’s the best! I’m very excited about what is about to come.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
Well, my success has nothing to do with how I bring goodness to the world. It has been part of me to help everyone who needs it since I was a little boy. Sometimes they need money, food or just some advice… But I’m always down to help people who need it.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
What gets measured gets improved. The moment I started to create songs, I used to care just about the notes and the lyrics… But caring about the song’s tempo brings out a new world of opportunities.
How can our readers follow you on social media?
You can find me on Instagram as eddy. Fregoso, I’ll share my other social media accounts there when they become available. I’ll start uploading videos of my upcoming work, so keep an eye on my profile and please, your likes and shares help us a lot! So don’t stop doing it.
