Interview with Faysal Chadimi (@faysalchadimi)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Since I was a child, I have been obsessed with storytelling. I wanted to make it a part of my career and so I decided to join the media and filmmaking industry. My aim is to create meaningful stories that can create change and entertain people.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
In order to survive in the film industry, it is important to be passionate about films. You should also strive to do different things within the industry so you can learn a diverse range of skills. All these skills help as a filmmaker.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I am grateful towards all my teachers and mentors in film school for believing in me and guiding me. My friends and family have also always supported me, and my vision and I would not have been able to pursue this career without their support.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
Through my films I not only hope to bring in a unique perspective but also create awareness about important topics.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“Short cuts make long delays.”
During my career, I have learnt that it is important to work hard and give your all to every project. Taking shortcuts only sets you out to fail and reduces your previous hard work to nothing.
