Interview with Emily (@imemilywilliams)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I started my journey as an entrepreneur straight out of high school in 2012. I have always had a pure passion and drive to grow and help others achieve big goals in their lives. I started in 2012 and evolved through the years to get to where I am today. I love spending time every day on being a little better than I was yesterday and just having the freedom and time to do it was so important to me.

Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I would say that every single time I have a breakthrough moment. They don’t happen all the time, but it’s like a shell coming off of me when they do. I believe that this field is complete, dedicated to consistent learning and growth. Through all of that, you learn who you are as a person. The most exciting thing that was unanticipated was finding who I truly am on the inside and being able to project that out and share that with the world.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive, not “burn out”?

I love that you asked if. I always say that if you’re feeling burnt out, take a step back, breathe, and find what you’re out in what you’re doing. If you’re feeling really out of alignment with what you’re doing, whether posting a photo or something you’re sharing about, take the time to look at what you need to do every day. If there is something you dread doing, but you know needs done, get that done first. I usually scatter the rest of my work throughout my day, but I’m the most productive within the time that I know. Look at your day entirely, and you might find out that you have more productive times in your day. Do your work in those productive times, and keep the passion in what you’re doing.

None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

For sure. There are many people and their good advices to get to where I am today. My mom inspires me a lot. She is one of those people who have always been there for me, even in the moments that I know she thought what I was doing was insane. She has been through so much. I’m incredibly grateful for her and everything she has done to help guide me in life.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Every day, I intentionally try to impact other people’s lives. Whether it’s words, tips, guidance, sometimes just being there for someone to listen. I love to volunteer. Our community raises funds and matches the donations we gather multiple times a year. Just being grateful, empathetic, and there for others.

Do you have a favourite “Life Lesson Quote ” You share? A story of how that was relevant to you?

“All we have is now” it’s simple, but it is sis simple; s keeps me grounded and in sync, with the work I’m doing to shift lives around me. If I take no action, if I do nothing all day, all week, all month, I will not impact the lives that I want to in a positive, continuous way. It’s so easy to let life slip by. I think just being more aware that you don’t know what the next moment will hold. Do your best now.
