Interview with Elohim Saga (@elohim_saga)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I’m a big anime fan. I’ve been watching it since I was young, so starting an anime clothing brand would always be my passion since I know the market well. I also wanted to make money before I went to uni; otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to fund my uni, so I looked into passive income over lockdown like dropshipping. Since the market for good anime clothing was booming during the lockdown, but the quality of stores wasn’t the best, I saw a gap in the market and started working with a good stylist for anime clothing.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

There was one time I saw someone wearing my clothing. I wanted to be professional and not reveal it was my company, but I got too gassed. I went up to him and asked where he got it from. Lately, I see people wearing my clothing, and I love every moment of it.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

Start up to date with the trends in anime or clothing, and don’t be afraid to ask for him from other people, let’s say graphic designers or influencers.

None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person whom you are grateful for who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My brother and sister. There’s not much of a story behind this. They just support and help me run the store. Without them, it will be too much for me.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I’m working on reinvesting into real estate so people can get affordable rents/homes.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“I’ll never give up and never go back on my word because that is my nindo, my ninja way” from Anime Naruto, my favorite. It means a lot to me because there were times when I thought this wouldn’t work. After all, I didn’t start making many sales, but I kept going and adapting.
