Interview with E (@thebookofe37)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I love technology and fitness I always have had a strong passion for both. Becoming a director of product development for a major telecommunications company has always been on my list of to do items. Being able to influence and help drive the creation of highly inclusive products that will touch thousands and millions of hands has been something that I view as inspiring to people of all kinds. And while I have that going as an executive and celebrity fitness train Inter I have been able to train some of the best and brightest and some of the most influential people in modern times. Being able to achieve this nice balance of doing what I love was vitally important..
Can you share the most interest in exciting happened to you since you started doing this?
My father was a role model and a strong influence in my life. He taught me about character; he taught me the tough lessons in life that some people learn too late or not at all. In one instance, he taught me the value of standing up for yourself.I soon learned to gather a couple of people and start up a card game or another fun activity to direct the focus on the activity instead of clashing personalities. I later realized that through this process, I had learned creative techniques to influence group dynamics.
In another situation, he taught me the value of hard work. After volunteering to do yard work one day, I got tired of the project after mowing the lawn. Hot, sweaty, and tired, I started to leave before the project was done, and he told me I couldn’t leave. After several hours of pulling weeds, watering, weed-whacking, fertilizing, trimming, and prepping flower beds while my father supervised from his comfortable lawn chair in the shade, I had learned that completing only a portion of a project is not acceptable when completion is expected; that there usually is a lot more work that goes on in the background of a finished product; that there will always be someone in that comfortable lawn chair watching others work — and that I wanted to be a supervisor in life.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
To not burn out my tips are honestly to find what allows you to recharge. For me and my wife we love to travel, relax and enjoy a good all around sushi meal. Mediation is also huge just being able to sit in peace and quiet does my body well and allows me to put my self in the correct space to correctly make great informed decisions with the information I have.
None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
The person I would attribute my success to would actually be my parents as cliché as it sounds. They gave me the worldview scope to be able to see a lot of different cultures and environments where there are vast problems that need to be solved. This has allowed me to have a very successful career in technology and also in fitness as well.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I have used my success to bring goodness to the world by being heavily involved in blacks in technology, and women in technology. These two groups are important to the growth of new technology products and creative fitness ideas. Being able to influence young children and help bridge the gap where ever it maybe in making sure that they have all the technical knowledge they will need to be successful has been wildly thrilling and very fulfilling in my goal to bring technology products to everyone and bridge the gap around the world.
Do you have a favourite “written Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
From Michael Jordan “Always turn a negative situation to a positive situation”. This has remained very punctual and important to me for various reasons one of which is the learning opportunity you get when you do fail. You are able to ensure that you do not recover and create the same situation over and over again. Which allows for personal growth and allows for you to have continued success.

Anything specific you’d like to have mentioned in the article?
I would really like to point out that success in technology and in fitness is achievable for all no matter what your goals are. Having a plan and some goals in mind helps with the transition into becoming a successful technology and fitness professional.
