Interview with  Dunstan Alexander (@dunstanralexander)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

From an early age I have been taking pictures and tweaking everything that I came across – unscrewing my parents’ VHS multiple times (always ending up with more screws in my hands). I have a double degree in Mechanical engineering and in Computer Science – the latter being my career choice and the former more a pet project.

Can you share the most interest in exciting happened to you since you started doing this?

I have worked with few famous people both in France and in the UK. Although I never share pictures I have taken with them. I did an entire photoshoot with the wrong set of clothes – it got published.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

Enjoy what you do and treat everything like a small project so if you need to pause, it would not be a big deal.

None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story? *

When I was younger, I was more religious than I am now and the priest from my local church was the first person that thought I had some talent. It was also my first client paying 10 Francs (£1) for the work.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world? *

Always try to improve within your community first and then try to help further and further.

Do you have a favourite “written Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

In life, especially in recent years, everyone experienced some bad times and my favourite quote is “This too shall pass”.

How can our readers follow you on social media? *

Anything specific you’d like to have mentioned in the article? *
