Interview with Calvin Sy (@calvin.csy)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I’ve learned to win for myself, not other people.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
“I love it when no one recognizes my accomplishments,” said no one ever. Whether it’s a personal or work victory, take a moment to celebrate with 100 percent of your enthusiasm. When I worked at Box, I would ring a huge gong with my coworkers and give each other high fives. It was awesome. Every. Single. Time. People love to feel appreciated.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Just be yourself and have your end goal in mind always. We opened shop on my show right before the pandemic kicked off, and my colleagues that depended on celebrity content weren’t able to thrive during the pandemic because that access had been yanked. Us, however, were able to keep pushing out content that the people wanted to see.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Yea, you are absolutely right that everyone has some kind of support behind its success and it is same in my situation too. People who surrounded me are my backbones. I am truly grateful for all the companions.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I will always thank my partner for helping me become the person I am today. I would no doubt be a completely different person without them. Sure, they have helped me financially growing up, but life lessons and leading by example were tools they gave me to live a fulfilling life. Many of the decisions that I make in my business are based around the foundation they laid for me.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
There is a quote by Martin Luther King Jr. that says “It is always the right time to do the right thing”. I really love this concept, because I believe that if I consistently do the right thing, good will come back to me.
How can our readers follow you on social media?
They can follow me on my Instagram account (user-id @calvin.csy).
Anything specific you’d like to have mentioned in the article?

Nothing in particular.
