Interview with Brandon Sellam (@brandonjsellam)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Coming from Paris, I was always around the fashion world. Then, when I moved to New York, I studied finance and management at school. I always was surrounded by people from the acting/modeling world and organizing some of the beat after party of New York met good people then I realized that’s the career path I should have.

Can you share the most interest in exciting happened to you since you started doing this?

It was on my first casting call in New York. It was a project called brass tactics, and the show called the city on fire for Apple TV. I had some fear that I was going to be shy and not perform well in my first act on a professional set. It was exciting to see that everyone was very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. I made many friends and saw that I had my place in that industry.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

My recommendation would be hard work, never giving up, confidence, being yourself, and be nice to everyone.

None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I had a friend in acting class with a fantastic acting coach/teacher. She referred me to him, and my way of understanding the acting world was excellent. This person made my journey to working very smooth and exciting. He helped me know how to feel the characters so I would act, and that’s the way to do like. He used to tell us we learn how to feel and not act and put ourselves into it more, living the characters. I still have him as a teacher since acting a lifetime journey.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I use my connection to help people in needs.

Do you have a favorite “written Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

My dutty is success. In life, we shall all be successful, and to do so, we must work hard.

How can our readers follow you on social media?
