Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Two High-School Seniors with an idea to get rich, change, and impact the world! As we matured, we recognized that the brand meant way more to us than fame and fortune, so we have not stopped escalating 5-years into the industry. It’s important to recognize and not deny the common factor that fantasy is a driving factor for teenagers in today’s society. Wrong Product comprises two best friends with an idea, passion, and motivation to never settle. Through the vital years of development, the brand’s foundation was built, and soon the brand became our lives, rather than just an idea and fantasy.

Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

The most exciting experience throughout our journey with the brand thus far has to be the overall growth we have endured. We start Bad Product at the age of 17 with absolutely ZERO experience or knowledge in product production, marketing, finance management, and virtually anything business-related. It all began with an idea and envisioning together out loud. What fascinates us is how we didn’t question the little things. We just STARTED and ran with it. Here we are today. Still, a lot to learn but reflecting on the 5-year journey is genuinely fascinating. 

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

Patience. Patience may be the most demanding quality to endure as an individual, specifically in today’s fast-paced and instant gratification world. Recognizing that overnight success is unlikely and accepting that is a vast vantage point in continuing to push forward. When you continue to do the little things and take them one step at a time, you allow a culmination of small but meaningful wins. However, these “little wins,” such as one sale after a bad week, a compliment about the brand after a quiet month, etc., truly add fuel to the long-term fire and motivation of building the brand. Furthermore, when you inevitably burn out, because it will happen, don’t forget when you have thoughts of “Giving Up,” the NEXT moment could be the life-changing one you’ve been waiting on! So Don’t Do It!

None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a person you are grateful for who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

When starting a small business, the first and most important sales are those of friends and family. There are quite a few to list, but we would like to thank the individuals who supported and believed in the brand in its early stages simply because they believed in the US as individuals. You meant and STILL mean more to us and the brand’s success than you know!

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

So far, the most impactful thing we have done was list a “Ukrainian Branded” Hoodie for sale. This hoodie was the color of the Ukraine flag that we offered on our website. Our goal was to donate the profit from each sale to @NovaUkraine to support the current conflict and war going on overseas. 

Furthermore, we do our best to reach out to individuals, brands, or musicians in a spot we were a few years ago and motivate them with our story and confidence never to give up. We feel that is something we needed when we were in our more miniature stages and feel the need to give back to others and fuel their motivation and potential. 

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“Scared Money Don’t Make Money” Throughout the year, many financial investments were required to accelerate the brand forward. At times it was difficult investing in an unknown return of investment. Recognizing that the brand would never grow if fear remained present was vital to the risks we took and the rewards and success.

We are all born with a gift, and it’s up to us to decide what we invest our time and energy into. Find that gift, and feed it. Don’t be afraid to be different and go “Against the Grain.” 

HOW IT STARTED: 

Removing essential judgment, grudges, feelings, religion, or anything 

Setting aside the typical characteristics and interests that diversify us and merge into one collective. One community. One Kinship. 

BAD Stands for:

BOLD – Going for your dreams and aspirations – Taking control of your life and breeding change/setting change set bar for fashion (stray away from the norm/what everyone is doing). Be. You.

ADVENTUROUS – Embracing the unknown – understanding that all growth involves risk – Not remaining stagnant in our comfort zones. 

DIFFERENT- Perspective. Paradigm. Vision. No two human beings are precisely alike mentally, physically, and emotionally. However, we still find ways to form unique bonds and connections. Different doesn’t look equally outcast. It equals freedom and open-mindedness.
