Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Amy Kitchingman is a British TV presenter, emcee, model and writer. After winning the Miss Great Britain title in 2007 and placing 3rd in the Miss World Tourism Finals, Amy pursued a career in modelling, where she worked for international brands such as Calvin Klein, l’Oreal and Oakley. Inspired to develop her knowledge of the industry. Amy studied for a degree in Media and Performing Arts and later specialised in Journalism and Broadcasting at the London Academy of Media, ensuring she was ready to step in-front of the camera and begin her career as a TV personality.
Amy’s career commenced in London, where she hosted an interactive TV quiz show allowing her to develop her interpersonal skills. This experience allowed her to hone her interviewing technique, which she confidently builds upon regularly in the shows she currently works on.
After relocating to Dubai, Amy’s passion and enthusiasm for being on camera motivated her to expand her portfolio to include a broad range of TV presenting roles. She readily took on the challenge of becoming a news correspondent for the international news agency BGTV, alongside working as a freelancer for AGTV and is currently the presenter for the travel show On The Go’ on Physique TV – a channel which were so impressed with Amy’s work that they offered her further roles on the weekly highlight show and Summer Top 5 segment.
It is through these platforms that Amy has interviewed top international celebrities, some of which include:
Donald Trump, Shilpa Shetty, Kobe Bryant, Marques Houston and Jordan Belfort. Amy is also talented at presenting live events; emceeing for Sport 360 awards, the Luxury Lifestyle Awards, Novatech Launch, Mulk Holdings Award Ceremony, the International Finance Magazine Awards, plus many more events.
Can you share the most interest in exciting happened to you since you started doing this?
Amy has interviewed many celebrities both for camera and live events. She has interview the likes of Donald Trump, Manny Pacquiao and Formula one driver Daniel Ricciardo, and many more.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?
Amy has a diverse live presenting portfolio having hosted gala dinners, award ceremonies & product launches to energetic audience participation events.
Her presenting style can vary from formal and classy to bubbly, energetic and fun.
Her presence grasps an audience and her presentation keeps them entertain throughout the event.
None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Amy has amazing on screen presence, her natural ability in front of the camera and skill set allows her to be one of the best on screen talents in the region. Her ability
to improvise when necessary, calmness under pressure, research skills and good memory for recalling scripts and facts enable her to be a pleasure for both audience and crew who work with her.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
Amy is an advocate for charity working with local charity companies in the UAE to help those in need. Her love for charity work started when she won her title Miss Great Britain back in 2008
