Interview with Allan Blain (@allanbblain)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

We felt confused, frustrated, and helpless not knowing what to do to help my wife when her health deteriorated back in 2000. Thankfully, we learned some nutritional information that changed the course of our family’s future and became the catalyst for us to begin measurable and sustainable change not only for my wife, Nicole but for our entire family’s health as well. After implementing some of the changes in our diets that we had learned about, Nicole, my wife, experienced her body healing itself within the six months that followed. We simply made some dietary changes and implemented a supplement program that consisted of some whole-food concentrated extracts that provided her body with the needed resources to repair and heal. Since that time, for 20 years now, we have devoted ourselves to health; to the health of ourselves first of all (realizing we can’t help others if we don’t have our health), to our six children’s health and other’s health as well.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

As hard as it may be at times to count all of our many blessings while in the midst of the various storms of life, keeping our priorities the priority and counting all the many things every one of us have to be thankful, for changes things BIG TIME!

Mindset is everything. Perspective matters. A heart and mind consciously full of gratitude is a fierce weapon against self-pity, depression, anxiety, discouragement, and more (Phil 4:6-7). Life can be very hard. Without a grateful heart, I can tell you from experience, it is much harder.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My wife and our family are my backbones, she keeps me going. Nicole and I are college sweethearts and have been married for 28 years. Second only to my relationship with Jesus, Nicole is my highest priority. I love working with her day in and day out, we have reached where we are today by working as a unit and I couldn’t be more grateful.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Being a health and leadership coach, my profession revolves around helping other people realize their best selves. I couldn’t be happier as I now get to wake up every day knowing that what we do to help others improve their health, impacts their lives in such meaningful ways.

Do you have a favourite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“Everything is on the other side of fear” (Jack Canfield). Once you get over the fear of starting and give it your all, you will find success and happiness waiting for you on the other side.

How can our readers follow you on social media?

They can follow me on Instagram (@allanbblain) which is my primary social media. I share bits of my life and frequent updates about my latest work over there. You can also catch me on my YouTube channel Allan Blain.
