Interview with Ahmed Romel

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I grew up in a very cultured environment, and music and dance were not something we shy away from. It is our way of celebrating happy occasions, and I wanted to play a part in that happiness, thus finding myself on this career path.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

I’ve been doing this for a long time and I think it’s important to rest and take time off when need be. The industry is very demanding and it’s hard to always stay motivated to create, as that is a tedious task within itself, as rewarding as it might be.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

From a very young age, my family and friends became my support system and always encouraged me in the face of difficulty or times I wanted to give up. After things took off, my fans and listeners kept me going with the infinite amount of support and love they showered me with.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Music is a powerful thing that transcends the boundaries of language or comprehension. I put my heart and soul into my work, and knowing people like it as much as they do and continue sending in so much support proves that I must have made some contribution. I wouldn’t still be doing this if I hadn’t.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“No matter how hard it gets, stick your chest out, keep your head up and handle it.” – Tupac, Me Against The World.
