Interview with Adam Ramsey Miller (@oldhouseadam)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Being a lover of art and restoration, I was always fascinated with houses and wanted to give it a chance. Being an entrepreneur and business owner, I wanted to make sense of the things I put my energy into. Starting renovation projects made me feel good, and of course, the end product was always worth all the trouble.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Always make sure you are there for yourself first. Work can wait, but your health truly matters the most. Even in my projects, I take things slow. I do a little every day, and that way I don’t feel so burned out. Of course, spending time with my lovely family helps elevate my mood as well!
None of us can achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
I have many people in my life that have helped me achieve success, but I believe without my wife being there for me every step of the way, I wouldn’t have been able to be the man I am today. She is the love of my life, I owe it all to her.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I started my TikTok page, not thinking anything of it at the time. But now that I have 1.5 million followers, it feels very surreal. I have people messaging me every day about how I have inspired them in some way, and that just brings so much joy to me. I hope I get to give back to my followers what they have given me.
Do you have a favourite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“The love in our family flows strong and deep, leaving us memories to treasure and keep.”
I want my family to always be proud of me, and I want them to be happy. Not just my wife and kids, but their families to come as well.
How can our readers follow you on social media?
