Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I started my entrepreneur journey back in 2015 when I got fired from my job. At that time i had 3 children under the age of 8 and I had a choice to make. It’s either i go through the gruesome path of finding a new unfulfilling job that takes my time away from my children or start my own business and take my time back and be able to be there for my children, i chose to start my own businesss. I started selling waist trainers and shapewear at first then I evolved into supplements, then I started writing books in 2017, co-created a reality show in 2019 and started more businesses like Mom’s Ultimate Guide Magazine, podcast show called How to Survive Society, developing another reality show and working on my first app for couples.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

The most interesting story that happened to me since I became an entrepreneur is the fact that I had to get out of my whole way and trust that I deserve and belong in rooms that big decisions are being made.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them thrive and not “burn out”?

My tips to my fellow entrepreneurs is keep pushing. Never give up and just because you hear alot of criticism or alot of no’s doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself. Keep promoting yourself and keep going no matter what.

None of us can succeed without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I am grateful for my support system which is my husband and my children. They have allowed me to chase my dreams and they don’t complain about the long hours that I have to put into my businesses sometimes. They give me peace of mind which in turn allows me to focus on things that I have to do to move my businesses forward.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I have used my success to bring good to the world through my vegan recipe books, encouraging and motivating people around me to eat better.

Do you have a favourite “written Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

My favourite life lesson quote is Don’t let anyone make you feel like you don’t belong.
