Interview @ Just Believe Boutique

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I am a mom of 5 and In 2016 I started a Facebook business with an online boutique. We opened our brick-and-mortar store in 2018. I saw a need in our community for ladies to be able to find amazing quality clothing, shoes and accessories at affordable prices, rather than having to drive an hour to the local malls. It wasn’t long before we grew out of our home and decided to give it a try, take that leap of faith. We now have served over 5000 ladies throughout the US with beautiful boutique styles.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Since we started our journey, things have grown exponentially. I was able to hire an amazing support team to help our business grow and support our community in ways that I never dreamed would be possible in just six years! Our town of Marion, VA has such a big heart for our community and I believe wholeheartedly that the support of our local community is the reason that our business still stands today.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?.

If you are in the retail industry, the past few years have been tough for us all. My only tip is to Never Give Up if it is truly your passion. Find those who are like-minded and who love fashion and people as much as you do, but also whose core values line up with yours. Give them a job and make them part of your team! They are your daily encouragers. Work Hard and love your customers! Find the reason that wakes you up every morning and makes you Hustle.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My husband has been my rock and my encourager in every aspect of life. We met in Real Estate, married, have kids, move to the mountains and the rest is history! I have always had an entrepreneurial drive to lead and with that comes a lot of responsibility, my husband has been there for me during the ups and the downs and has always stood by my side and never questioned my decisions. I couldn’t wear all “The Hats” if it weren’t for him and his love and support of my dreams for our family.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

My journey of giving started much before the boutique retail industry, I was previously part of nutritional companies where I was able to travel both throughout the US and Internationally helping other business owners grow their businesses and reach their dreams. I had amazing mentors Luke & Deb Pennucci. We traveled everywhere helping people reach financial goals, training, teaching, and helping people. In 2013 we curated a program called Project 10 Kids where we helped feed thousands of meals to kids in need. That program is on youtube. I have extended my heart of giving to our local community by donating clothing to “Women in Need” through local government resources, kids, and families and always working hard to give back to our community.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

My favorite life lesson quote is ” Life Is About Change, and Nothing Ever Stays the same.” In life and business things change, in order to be successful, you have to grow with change and accept each day as a new day! Do not let anything hold you back, be flexible and patient. Teamwork makes the Dreamwork, running a business is hard, a team takes the pressures of everyday grind off of the table so that you can focus on customers and growing your business.
