Interview @ Brown Skin Brunchin (brownskinbrunchin)
Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
We are a community of various black women who enjoy spending quality time with quality people who loves making an impact. We socialize with people around the United States and are planning to move further along in our journey.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
We recommend them to just be themselves and not put on a mask. The realness of our own selves goes a long way and is not exhausting at all.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Our friends and family have been a huge support to us throughout the journey. Apart from that the organizers of this community have worked their hardest to be where we stand today. Without them, Brown Skin Brunchin’ would be nothing.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
We try to use our platform for the good of the world. We invite people to have conversations with them of what they can do to make an impact in the world and we believe we are succeeding.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson
We completely agree with this because the world is constantly trying to change us into something we are not. But we need to realize our own importance and believe that we are enough and then work towards our goal that help out various communities of the world.
